    Mark your calendar to make sure you’re ready for the VFW fundraiser dinner and auction this Saturday night, April 13. The VFW building is in dire need of a roof replacement and other repairs. The Rotary Club of Thermopolis received a sizeable grant and have made a deal with the VFW to match the grant money as a donation provided the VFW raises the same amount, basically tripling what the donation would be.     The annual Jackalope Jump, a fundraiser for Hot Springs County Special Olympics will be on Friday, April 5. Those willing to brave some chilly waters can jump into a pool on the high school grounds. Registration begins at noon, and is $100 for a single jump or $50 per person on a team of four. Advisor Tom Olsen noted the event is the big fundraiser for the year.     The Thermopolis Gymkhana Series will host a fundraiser for its year-end awards on Saturday, April 13, starting at 6 p.m. at the Hot Springs County fair building. The event is open to the public, with a taco/nacho bar and silent auction. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.     Members of the Hot Springs County High School Spanish Club spent Spring Break on a trip to the Dominican Republic. These trips outside the country are done every two years - the last one being to Peru - and give students a chance to experience another culture while also working on their language skills.
