Cross country skiing enthusiasts in Hot Springs County no longer have to travel 75 miles or more to enjoy your favorite winter pastime. Lloyd Lafave and Tom Anderson put their heads together and created trails for cross country skiing at the Thermopolis Golf Course. The event is held each year in memory of Brenna Michelle Rankin, who passed away in March 2016, after battle with cancer. If you’re thinking about something fun to do with your Valentine this year, the 2020 Thermopolis Fire Department’s Fireman’s Ball could be just the ticket. This year will feature the band Rattlesnake Ridge on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the VFW. All ages are welcome to attend.
