Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce plans to host the 2024 Thermopolis Lighted Parade with the theme “Characters of Christmas.” The parade will be on Saturday, December 7. Chadwick 'Chad' Charles Baldes passed away on November 14, 2024. Chad was born in Riverton, Wyo., to Claude 'Charlie' and Patsy (Cruz) Baldes on April 24, 1962. Thermopolis resident Porshia Birdsley has qualified to compete at the Official Strongman Games held at the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin. The event runs from December 5-8, with Birdsley scheduled to compete in the womens 161 lb. class. Our local VFW will be airing the competition at Post 2281 on Friday and Saturday.
