Hot Springs Recreation District is hosting a Turkey Hoop Shoot Thursday, Nov. 17 at the armory. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. with the event starting at 7 p.m. Parent participation is required. Children second grade through age 15 can participate. The fee is a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Holiday Baskets program. First place contestants will win a turkey. Bags of food will be picked up Saturday, Nov. 12 for the community food drive to benefit the Community Food Bank and the Christmas Basket program. Place your food donations in a bag by your front door for pick by the Scouts and other youth groups. Each year a party is held for the senior class on graduation night filled with games and prizes that send the students off to college with things they can really use. In order to have the party, the senior class parents and students hold a number of fundraisers throughout the year.
