    The final Gymkhana event for the season was this past Saturday at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds. Events during each Gymkhana include barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, a flag race, dummy roping and a fun event. This month's fun event was a costume race.     As October comes to a close, the weekend brings with it the opening of pheasant season. The season officially opens on Saturday, Nov. 3 and closes on Dec. 31, with shooting hours starting a half hour before sunrise and ending at sunset. Limit for Area 1, which Hot Springs County falls in, allows for a daily bag limit of three birds and nine in a hunter’s possession. Male pheasants only may be taken.     Although there has been a merger between Wellspring Counseling and High Country Behavioral Health, clients won’t see much of a difference. The recent merger between the two companies has brought Wellspring under High Country’s umbrella along with other satellites in Afton, Evanston and Pinedale.     Fremont County Coroner Mark Stratmoen claims Fremont County Attorney Patrick LeBrun is attempting to sabotage the proposed coroner’s inquest into the officer-involved shooting that led to the death of Anderson Antelope.
