    by Victoria Eavis Casper Star-Tribune Via Wyoming News Exchange The Wyoming State Legislature has voted to hold a special session to combat federal vaccine mandates, but another obstacle remains. When results of the vote came in Thursday evening, there were 36 lawmakers in the House and 18 in the Senate in favor of the special session, clearing the majority that was needed in each chamber (The Senate currently has 30 members, while the House currently has 59).     Montana’s Strongest Man Chad Lowry and Gottsche are holding a Strongman Training event on Sunday, Oct. 24 from 2-6 p.m. at the Gottsche gym. Lowry is from Montana and started his interest in this type of training in December 2020.     by Karla Pomeroy A 26-year-old Worland woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on the evening of September 30, south of Thermopolis. According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeremy Beck, Maxwell J. Wruck, 31, of Worland was driving a 2000 Ford F250 southbound on U.S. 20 just past Thermopolis. At about 9 p.m. near milepost 128 Wruck swerved to the left to avoid a deer in the roadway.     The Bobcat varsity football team went on the road last Friday and defeated Mountain View by a final score of 40-13. It was the Bobcat’s first victory over Mountain view in 11 games. “The team played tough physical football, and pulled away in the second half- shutting out the Buffalo’s outscoring them 20-0 in the 2nd half,” said coach Matt McPhie.     At the October 14 Chamber of Commerce meeting held at Big Horn Federal, during old business, President Howie Samelson brought up the chamber banquet. Director Meri Ann Rush said that the planning for the banquet on October 16 started in the spring. The nominations were also made in January and February.
