    Along with everything that was on the primary election ballot, Hot Springs County voters will also see additional opportunities to vote, including school board, cemetery board and others. Four-year terms for the school board include incumbents Nichole Weyer, Clay VanAntwerp and Joe Martinez. New on the ballot is Will Farrell.   • Town council updated during several reports

    At the most recent Town Council meeting, the members approved a transfer of a liquor license from Tony Deromedi to Jennifer Fisher for her new business OEB Saloon at 500 South 6th Street. Fisher is just getting started on plans for the new business but says they include selling bar food, such as pizza and chicken wings. Town Engineer Anthony Barnett was not present at the meeting.     A slow down in aerial spraying created a slight dip in fuel sales at the Hot Springs County Airport during August according to FBO Nate Messenger. Messenger told the Hot Springs County Commissioners at their September 1 meeting that the airport saw a total of 146 operations at the facility, including nine turbine helicopters and five jet engine aircraft.     Cathy and Terry Titmus, owners of Performance Auto Wash, have recently upgraded their equipment to their facility and already business has increased. Their car wash equipment was outdated for some time and with customers using credit cards in addition to carrying cash, they needed their equipment to work with current technologies and payment methods.     Jerry & Shelly Deromedi are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. They were married on August 28, 1970, but have known each other all of their lives. Shelly grew up in Kirby, and Jerry grew up in Gebo. Both their grandparents were miners in Gebo, and grandfathers were best friends. They happened to be high school sweethearts.     Jennifer Fisher is still working on final plans for a new business called OEB Saloon. It will be a liquor store and a bar at 500 South 6th Street. Right now she and her partners are waiting to close on the property. Some of her plans include having a patio out back and she wants it to be a fun place to hang out. It will have multiple televisions, pool games, bar food such as pizza, nachos and wings. They might add more food choices later on.     Sam Carl Witters passed away on Aug. 28, 2020, in Medford, Ore., surrounded by his family. Sam was born September 26, 1940, and grew up in Thermopolis, Wyo., graduating from high school in 1958. He served proudly in the Air Force from 1960-1963. He made his home in Portland, Ore., where he worked for Pacific Power and Light as a claims investigator.     James Richard “JR” Schrock, 73, of Redmond, Ore., passed away August 26. He was born on July 6, 1947, in Thermopolis, Wyo., to Richard and Betty Schrock. JR grew up attending Casper schools and graduated from NCHS in 1965. He joined the Army shortly after graduation and served in South Viet Nam from 1966 to 1967 with the 1st Cavalry Division. During his 18 months in country he was stationed at An Khe and Vung Tau. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.     Carl Dell Joiner, 81, unexpectedly and peacefully passed away on Monday, Aug. 17. Carl was born in Pecos, Texas, on March 21, 1939, to Dell V. Joiner and Betty (Tiemann) Joiner. He graduated from Hot Springs County High School in Thermopolis, Wyo., in 1959. He wed his high school sweetheart Mickey (Janice) Dvarishkis on September 1, 1959.     Bobcat boys golf team was in Buffalo last week and had a bit of a rough go, placing fourth at the eight-team invitational. Coach Brandon Deromedi said the Buffalo course is a difficult one, but “we saw some very bright moments and a lot of growth.
