Gladys Augusta Nichols Jones passed away July 25, 2015, at New Horizon Care Center in Lovell, Wyo. Gladys was born near Lysite, Wyo. on September 13, 1929, the daughter of James Lee Nichols Sr. and Susie Parm Nichols. Gladys grew up on the family homestead on Bridger creek attending schools in Shoshone before moving to the Lucerne area near Thermopolis where she graduated from high school in 1948. Advertisement was a big topic at the July 21 meeting for the Travel and Tourism Board. Maintaining current billboards for the coming year and refacing three current billboards was discussed.
