    The annual Relay for Life is a prominent event and fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay team members take turns walking around a track or other set path, with each event lasting anywhere from six to 24 hours.     Following a public hearing Tuesday evening, during which there were no comments, the Thermopolis Town Council officially adopted the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1.     It's been just over a week since Molly Lockhard began her duties as director at the HOPE Agency, officially starting on June 14. Coming from Spokane, Wash., the 25-year-old is not unfamiliar with Thermopolis. She lived here until she was in middle school, then her family moved to Worland.     Earlier this year, the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department started looking at purchasing a smoke house. The inflatable house is seen particularly at Fire Prevention Week events, at the department’s open house and the annual health fair.     Tuesday afternoon, Hot Springs County Travel and Tourism discussed the website, www.thermopolis.com, as it is not mobile friendly or responsive. Director Amanda Moeller said she was referred to one company for a site update, but she wanted to bring it before the board for discussion as to a possible redesign.     The Wyoming Office of Tourism has released this year’s traveling sticker campaign, featuring four regional stickers as well as an eclipse sticker. The four regions include Salt to Stone, Rockies to Tetons, Black to Yellow and the one we are included in, Park to Park.     A set of closures of U.S. 20/Wyoming 789 Wednesday and Thursday in Wind River Canyon are intended to help a contractor successfully and safely bring a large rock off the canyon wall to the edge of the highway.
