Monday evening during a meeting of the Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, the board looked over the budget for the fiscal year 2018-19; the budget will be finalized and approved at the regular June meeting. May is Motorcycle Awareness Month, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is committed to removing barriers for riders on the path to the freedom of the open road on a motorcycle. Starting this spring, motorcycle safety classes through WYDOT will now include an online component for a portion of the classroom learning. It was definitely a learning experience last week as the middle school held an Ag Expo. Students learned the difference between horns and antlers and compared the size of a black bear skull with a grizzly.
