Three Hot Springs County residents have tested positive for Coronavirus over this last weekend. At least one dozen more people have undergone testing as of Monday, May 18. Results are pending. Ongoing tracing of multiple contacts is underway. If others test positive the contact tracing will include more people. With this ongoing contact tracing we will be seeing more people in home isolation and quarantine. The 37th Annual WYO Quarter Horse sale was held at the Hot Springs County Fairgrounds last weekend. The crowd included buyers representing 16 different states. The Hot Springs County Cemetery District has announced that decorations may be placed on graves at Riverside and Monument Hill cemeteries commencing at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 and must be removed before 8 a.m. on June 1. The Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce board held a virtual Zoom meeting for May. the board did not meet in April due to the COVID-19 virus. Director Meri Ann Rush said in new business that the August 1 Pageant Day parade is still being planned.
