The body of 66-year-old David E. Cathey was found at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 3 in the Sand Draw area around Gebo. According to information from the Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office, Cathey’s body appeared to have been there about five to seven days before it was discovered, and an autopsy showed the cause of death was exposure. Ryan J. Clayton of Nottingham, UK recently published an academic paper on a specimen with some peculiar pathologies at the Wyoming Dinosaur Center. Clayton stated he volunteered/interned at the center in the summer of 2013. William "Bill" Taylor Reed, 83, of Worland, passed away May 6, 2018, at Thermopolis Rehab and Wellness Center. Bill was born November 2, 1934, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Thomas and Alice (Hebbert) Reed. Though Friday saw the final regular season meet for the Hot Springs County High School Track and Field team with the Bobcat Invite, it was the first meet in which Cullen Becher was able to compete, having been released to do so. Becher underwent some minor knee surgery earlier this year.
