Vincent Edward “Ed” Porter passed away on Mon., April 5, 2021, following a year and a half battle with cancer. Ed was born to Dan and Fern Porter on May 11, 1951. Dan was born in Gebo, Wyo. Over the years, Hot Springs State Park was a favorite location for many Porter family reunions. Doris Jean Gist Arcand, 73, passed away on Thurs., April 2, 2021, in the Shepherd of the Valley Hospice Unit Casper, Wyo. She was born to Mildred and Charles Gist in Ft. Helen Patricia Clayton, 93, passed away on April 12, 2021, in Fresno, Calif. Helen was born at home on March 9, 1928. Her parents, Algot and Saimi Helene Ahlberg lived and worked at the Wyoming Tie & Timber Company in DuNoir, which was the company town located in the mountains above Dubois, Wyo. She and her siblings grew up at the tie company camp and attended its one-room school house. Roy Lyle Phillips, 75, died in Billings, Montana, March 30, 2021. Born October 24, 1945, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, he was one of five children of Jack, Sr. and Vera (Edwards/Walters) Phillips. The family moved to Thermopolis in 1957 where Roy attended school. He joined the U S Navy when he was 17. Following his discharge he worked at various jobs in Hot Springs State Park, Meadowlark Lodge, and cowboying for Friday Rathbun. The owners of the new Mexican restaurant Los Cabos, Ricardo Lopez and Tina Ordaz have been experiencing surprising results since they opened on February 5.
