Kids of all ages will be able to celebrate Easter twice this year with two Easter egg hunts planned in Thermopolis. The first hunt will be at Thermopolis Rehabilitation and Care Center for children up to 10-years-old on Saturday, March 26. Children over 10 can volunteer to help with the hunt. Shirley Mae Hendricks Hermann, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. Shirley Mae Hendricks Hermann was born April 3, 1932, in Gillette, Wyo., to Wallace and Edith Wilamena (McClendon) Hendricks. Three seniors and one junior at Hot Springs County High School have joined military service in recent months while finishing their high school education. The Hot Springs County Unemployment rate increased significantly from 4.2 percent in December 2015 to 5.7 percent in January 2016 according to data from the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services. A year ago in January the unemployment rate in the county was 4.4 percent. In December there were 100 people unemployed in the county and in January the number of unemployed jumped to 137. On February 21, the Thermopolis robotics team “The Aluminati” got invited to the FTC Super Regionals event in Oakland, Calif. This is the first time a Thermopolis team has made it to Super Regionals. Head Coach Steve Radabaugh said, “We’ve been working toward this goal for six years now, and it’s great to finally be able to move on to the next level.
