The Bobcat Speech and Debate team was quite successful at their State Tournament in Riverton last weekend, bringing home second place in 1A-2A as well as having a number of students named to the All State team. Earlier this school year, students at Thermopolis Middle School tested their knowledge of geography with eighth grader Jonah Needham emerging the victor. Because of that first place, he was able to take an online quiz. Though given an hour to take the quiz, Needham said he finished it in 20 minutes and believes he got around 65 of them right. As I was growing up we ate a lot of traditional Irish dishes, I just had no idea they were Irish, I just knew they were really good. Bruce Allen Campbell, 64, of Casper, passed away on Sunday March 3, 2019. He was born to James and Beverly Campbell on October 6, 1954, in El Paso, Texas. Bruce joined the Air Force right out of high school where he proudly served his country as an Air Traffic Controller until he was Honorably Discharged. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will conduct six open-house meetings throughout the Bighorn Basin with one final meeting in Cody to discuss 2019 hunting season proposals for game birds and big game. We're getting a bit more sunshine these days and with it the high school tracksters are getting ready for the 2019 season, with the first practice on March 11. This year there is a change in coach, with Aimee Kay taking over for Ernie Mecca, who retired last year.
