On March 3 at approximately 7 p.m. the Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) was dispatched to Sunnyview Drive for a reported structure fire. Firefighters arrived to find an active fire burning on the outside deck of a single-family dwelling. The fire extended into the interior of the structure. Firefighters attacked and extinguished the fire. Fire crews returned to the scene throughout the following hours to ensure the fire did not re-ignite. There will be a Hunter Education Internet Completion Course held on Sat., April 15 from 8 a.m. - noon at the Thermopolis Middle School Commons. This certification option is the mandatory second half of a two-part hybrid online independent study. Daryl Jean "DJ" Lottman was born November 12, 1935, to Everett Lottman and Mabel Goertz (Lottman) in Dell Rapids, S. D., at the end of the Great Depression and the Start of World War ll. Roy C. Richins, age 85, of Thermopolis, Wyo., passed away peacefully on Monday, February the 27, 2023, at Hot Springs Health of natural causes. He was born September 26, 1937, to Kenneth and Esther Richins in Ogden, Utah. He married Frances Stephens on September 24, 1960. Their marriage and life was blessed by three sons.
