Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Mark Collins, has held his position for nearly thirty years and is one of the longest in Wyoming and Hot Springs County. Collins first started volunteering for the fire department in 1992. In 1993 Collins started out as a secretary, then took over as treasurer for about seven or eight months. Hot Springs State Park Supervisor Kevin Skates reported the 2021 visitation numbers for the park as 1,757,299 visitors. Skates also said those numbers were from their digital sensors, which they had some technical issues with, and that number could be close to 2 million visitors. The Bobcat Wrestlers hosted the Buffalo Bison in a dual last Thursday. The Bison were down wrestlers so in all there were only eight matches and the Bobcats walked away with the win, 44-15.
