    The Hot Springs County School District Board of Trustees’ first regular meeting of 2022 saw a do-over of two of its officer elections, which nonetheless yielded the same results. Superintendent Dustin Hunt credited a patron who’d contacted the district to correct the procedures of the board’s elections of its chair and vice-chair during its Dec. 16 meeting, by pointing out the nominations hadn’t followed Robert’s Rules of Order.     At the January 18 Hot Springs County Commissioners meeting, Michael Wright presented the county’s audit report. The report is 75 pages and contains two different audits, one being a compliance audit as the county had received more than $750,000 for federal expenses.     At the January 18 Thermopolis Town Council meeting held at Town Hall, Officers Mike Mascorro and Kylar LaBoy were sworn in by Town Attorney Mike Messenger.     Owner Roland Luehne plans to open Micky’s Theater in the coming few weeks. The theater is named after Micky Wallace who worked for the Star Plunge since 1978, for about 44 years. Wallace has been diagnosed with skin cancer and is terminal. Luehne wants to dedicate the theater to Wallace as he considers him family. She was born in Lisco, Neb., on December 25, 1935, the first of eight children of Oscar and Gladys (Winterer) Lance. She attended Garden County School, graduating in 1953.     Frank Herbert Harris, 82, passed away January 11, 2022, at Hot Springs Health in Thermopolis. He was presently living at the Senior Citizen Apartments. One of five children, he was born September 23, 1939, in Casper, Wyo., the son of Herbert and Frankie (Bush) Harris. Frank attended school in Mills, Wyo., and graduated from Natrona County High School. Active in Junior Rodeo he was a bulldogger and a saddle bronc champ. Born June 18, 1951, in Paso Robles, Calif., he was the son of Wesley and Lydia (Clausen) Franklin. After earning his PhD he was employed as an engineer for PG&E for many years in California.     Thermopolis 3A boys Bobcats varsity team is headed into a busy schedule the end of the week with a 6-6 overall record. The boys lost a close game against Newcastle on the road, The game went into overtime and the Bobcats fell just short with a 58-55 loss. On Saturday at home the Bobcats took on the Douglas Bearcats.
