The Lady Cat volleyball teams have been busy on the road and at home. First up, the team traveled to Lovell. Coach Shannon Hill said “During the Lovell match I made a big lineup change in the middle of the match and put Lexi Garrison as our setter and she did a great job stepping up and adding a lot to our team.” Lexi Overfield had 8 kills and 1 ace, Hanna Hill had 5 kills and 2 aces, Ina King added 5 kills and Jayci Basse had 8 digs. The Bobcat varsity football team hosted Mountain View in last Friday night's home game, with the Bobcats falling to the Bison with a final score of 34-14. Coach Matt McPhie said "Roedy Farrell had a great game on both offense and defense. Farrell accounted for over 300 yards of offense. The Bobcats junior varsity football team has been on the road the last couple of weeks traveling to Glenrock and Lander, taking the win in both games. The team is being coached by coach Darren Elder and coach Calder Forcella. First up was Glenrock on Monday, Sept. 12. The Bobcat golf team traveled to Kemmerer in their latest match last Friday. "This was a fun event that we don't often get to do. We just had a dual because all of 3A and 4A were at their state qualifying events and the other 2A schools are all on the East side of the state. We decided to compete in this dual rather than traveling to the other side of the state, two weeks in a row. The Thermopolis Middle School Football team started their season off with a victory over Shoshoni on Sept. 3. Coach Shane Corpening said “I thought we played really well from the start. The Bobcat varsity football team traveled to Kemmerer last Friday to take on the Rangers. Quarterback, senior Gavin Shumway, completed 12 of 17 passes for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game. Del Dukes hauled in 7 passes for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Chris Arends had 24 tackles in the game with Jessen Basse adding 10 tackles. The Lady Bobcat Volleyball team was busy on the road traveling to different tournaments last weekend. JV and Varsity traveled to Rawlins and the Freshmen traveled to Buffalo.
