Cross country runners officially opened their season last Friday during the Kelly Walsh Beartrap Invitational at Casper Mountain. During their Tuesday night meeting, the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees discussed the re-roofing of the hospital. Earlier this year, a proposal was presented to the State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB), for $1.5 million for about 27,000 square feet of the current hospital roof to be replaced. This past Tuesday at 5:40 a.m. the Thermopolis Police Department initiated action to arrest four illegal immigrants who were working in Hot Springs County. Police Chief Julie Mathews said this incident had been “days in the making,” and by 7:20 a.m. on Tuesday the four subjects were in custody.
