    Trial got underway Monday afternoon in a case against Christopher Decker, who is charged with three counts of child endangerment — exposure to methamphetamine — and one count of possession of a controlled substance.     After 24 years of working at the Thermopolis Post Office, Patti Tonn is bedding farewell. Postmaster Susan Linko said Tonn started out as a carrier and later became a clerk.     Hot Springs County High School senior, Andrew Yarbrough, was recently named one of 615 students across the country that are recipients of the 2018 Horatio Alger State Scholarships.     Among the more noticeable structures on the west side of Thermopolis Middle School is the newly added hoop house.     The Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass fire near Gebo Sunday at 1:35 p.m. Fire Chief Mark Collins said the department responded with four engines and a water tender, along with 14 personnel who were at the scene for over three hours.     Monday in Hot Springs District Court, Scott D. Jackson pleaded guilty to fourth offense driving under the influence. The charge is from a June 9 incident. According to court documents, an officer was notified of an intoxicated driver. The officer observed the suspect not stopping at a stop sign and affected a traffic stop.
