After 24 years of working at the Thermopolis Post Office, Patti Tonn is bedding farewell. Postmaster Susan Linko said Tonn started out as a carrier and later became a clerk. The Thermopolis Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass fire near Gebo Sunday at 1:35 p.m. Fire Chief Mark Collins said the department responded with four engines and a water tender, along with 14 personnel who were at the scene for over three hours. Monday in Hot Springs District Court, Scott D. Jackson pleaded guilty to fourth offense driving under the influence. The charge is from a June 9 incident. Beginning April 2, a store that has been a familiar site for 10 years in Thermopolis will get a new name when Blair's Super Market becomes Mack's Market.
