    Thermopolis Booster Club President Kelly Cole and Hot Springs County High School Activities Director Brandon Deromedi want to invite local parents of athletes to participate in their activities. For this school year, there are no community parents volunteering as members of the Booster Club. There are only four active officers.     Jayci Mead, owner of JC's Dream Team Bucking Bulls, had her bull, JC's Gangster, in New York City at Madison Square Garden for Professional Bull Riding (PBR) on Jan 3-5. Friday in round 1 Fabiano Viera from Brazil drew Gangster and rode him for 85.5 points. JC's Gangster was asked back for Round 3 on Sunday.     Wedg and Kathy Taylor held a celebration on December 29, 2019, for their 50th wedding anniversary. Wedg said, "It was good. We had a lot of people there." Kathy said, "It was very nice." The guests came in for over a four-hour period. She added,"The food was wonderful. It was very sociable. We just walked down table to table to meet the guests."     Phillip & Shurie Scheel have partnered with Bradyn & Shailee Harvey to open up Kirby Creek Mercantile in downtown Thermopolis. They are a retail and food establishment.     During the first Town Council meeting of the year, Fred Crosby, the town administrator, reported that the city’s property and car insurance premiums with HUB and underwriter Travelers will increase by 9.5%. He noted that Travelers did not pay enough for the city’s hail damage. The city’s coverage will lapse on Thursday, January 9. The store has over 700 different flavors and it might be more than in the state of Colorado as well, according to one distributor.
