Thermopolis Booster Club President Kelly Cole and Hot Springs County High School Activities Director Brandon Deromedi want to invite local parents of athletes to participate in their activities. For this school year, there are no community parents volunteering as members of the Booster Club. There are only four active officers. Wedg and Kathy Taylor held a celebration on December 29, 2019, for their 50th wedding anniversary. Wedg said, "It was good. We had a lot of people there." Kathy said, "It was very nice." During the first Town Council meeting of the year, Fred Crosby, the town administrator, reported that the city’s property and car insurance premiums with HUB and underwriter Travelers will increase by 9.5%. He noted that Travelers did not pay enough for the city’s hail damage. The city’s coverage will lapse on Thursday, January 9.
