    David Souders has opened Hot Springs Thrift located at 1002 Shoshoni. The shop contains a variety of clothes, shoes, small pieces of furniture, videos, etc. Souders moved to Thermopolis in February 2020 just after he shut down a 1950s-style restaurant he owned in New Castle, Colorado, just before Covid occurred.     At the August 18 Hot Springs County Commissioners board meeting held at the Annex building, the commissioners voted and passed the approval of a corrective quit claim deed for Alfred T. Graham and Ada F. Graham. The original property document was recorded in 1986 that contained some errors. It took a very long time for the issue to be resolved. Certified land surveyor R. L.     During the Primary Election Day on Tuesday, August 16, the polling location for the Town of East Thermopolis Precinct 2-1 and the Town of Kirby Precinct 3-1 had to move due to flooding at the County Museum. Hot Springs County Clerk Becky Kersten received a phone call from her Deputy Karen Slocum at 5:34 a.m. that morning to inform her of the flooding.     At the August 2 Hot Springs County Commissioners meeting, representatives from WYDOT gave an hour-long presentation about the Hot Springs County State Transportation Improvement Program. District Construction Engineer Randy Merritt said that for 2022 they received $438,291,760 in federal funding for projects throughout the state of Wyoming.     Tatum and Jeff Epperson recently purchased an Ebike rental business from Cody and are bringing it here to Thermopolis. They have 16 bikes available and rent them hourly, for half a day or for a full day. The cost is $30 for the first hour and $10 per hour thereafter.     The Hot Springs County Sheriff's Department has a new K-9 unit with Deputy Shayna Cox and a one and half-year-old German Shepard named Riggs. Cox said that she and Riggs went through about three weeks of training working every day. Riggs was supplied by a company called MAKOR K9 of West Virginia.     On Friday, July 8, the family of Duncan Harris interred his ashes in the Nostrum family plot in the Monument Hill Cemetery located in Thermopolis. Duncan's widow, Janice Harris, helped the family gather together to celebrate his life, coming from Jackson Hole and elsewhere.
