    The Wyoming Dinosaur Center (WDC) has been successful with its monthly Science Saturday program and they are looking forward to more in the coming months.     Dr. Danielle Flowers has joined Owl Creek Veterinary Services as a veterinarian. Flowers graduated from the University of Illinois in May 2022 with her veterinary degree. She decided to move to Hot Springs County after visiting for a few summers and said she "fell in love" with the area.   • Agencies discuss forming Joint Powers Water District

    On January 17 the Hot Springs County Commissioners held an informal discussion with various entities to organize a Joint Powers Water District potentially. Representatives from the Town of Thermopolis, Owl Creek Water District, South Thermopolis Water & Sewer District, and Red Lane were present.     At the January Thermopolis-Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce board meeting, CEO Meri Ann Dorman updated the board about the proposed electric vehicle charging station and said that she is working with Kristen Gunther of Otterspace.     Hot Springs County Search and Rescue has a new side-by-side vehicle with snow tracks. Search and Rescue member Casey Freund, said the Polaris Ranger Crew 1000 Northstar edition vehicle was approved by the County Commissioners in 2021. The cost to the county was $23,061.99.     At the December 6 Thermopolis Town Council meeting, the council passed a resolution for a budget adjustment that was originally adopted in June. This allowed the council to pass a second resolution that would pay for the extensive asphalt repair and the water project. The money for these costs will come from the general fund. Bobbie was born in Oakley, Kansas, but grew up in Neosho, Missouri.
