The money raised from the cookbook will be used for the class to take a field trip to Jackson Hole, where they will get to experience the world of culinary preparation and service.     The first Thermopolis Town Council meeting for the month of December had all members present. There was a brief report from the town engineer by Anthony Barnett. Director of Public Works, Ernie Slagle reported the new snow blower is working fabulously. The town crew spent a day training on the new piece of equipment before using it.     Sunday morning at 9:38 a.m. Thermopolis suffered a loss of the worst kind, a tragedy that is felt by the whole community. Gavin Jacobsen, 12, was struck by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train near the intersection of the train tracks and Broadway street.
