Friday September 18 is the 8th annual Friends of NRA Banquet. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. There will be good food, games and lots of prizes. With a call to order Mayor Mike Mortimore began the Town council meeting Tuesday night with the Pledge of Allegiance and the meeting was soon under way. A review of Mac's Bar request for a catering permit for their Customer Appreciation Bash to be held on September 12 had a few concerns about noise levels but the council was assured they would be kept at decent levels for the evening. Attacking the wilds of Cody's cross country course the Thermopolis Bobcat Cross Country team participating in their first meet of the season tore the terrain up. Jules Ward came in 2nd with a time of 20:52. Stacy Lewis finished 16th place clocking in at 25:40 and Liz Rhodes came in 23rd place with a time of 28:01.
