Hot Springs County High School senior, Kaylee Bazzle, has been a member of the Bobcat Cheer Squad since her freshman year. Each summer, the squad attends a training camp, somewhere in the state of Wyoming, to build their skills, and to take on new opportunities to excel in their sport. Last summer, the squad went to cheer camp in Cokeville, where Kaylee was given an opportunity to try out for a spot on the All American Cheer Squad. Bobcats place eleventh against forty-one teams The Hot Springs County High School Bobcats wrestlers made their annual trek to Riverton last weekend for the Ron Thon Memorial Tournament. The Tournament draws the best wrestlers from around the State of Wyoming, and this year featured forty-one Wyoming teams. The Lady Cats wrestlers had two meets last week, beginning on Thursday night, at home for a Dual with Glenrock, and then moving on to the Clash at the Crossroads Tournament in Shoshoni on Friday/Saturday. Last weekend, the Hot Springs County High School, Lady Cats Basketball team, hosted their second tournament in as many weeks. With twelve teams in competition, the Big Horn Classic was played in Thermopolis, and in Worland. On Friday, January 17 the Lady Cats first saw the JV team from Cody. In a close game, the Cody Broncs were victorious – winning by a score of 44 to 36. Last weekend, the Hot Springs County High School Lady Cats Basketball Team hosted the first of two, back-to-back, tournaments. Each team had four scheduled games over the two-day event, and with 16 teams competing, the action was dispersed between the schools in Thermopolis and Shoshoni. The Wyoming Coaches Association have announced the winners of the fall sports season Coach of the Year awards. The prestigious awards go to those coaches who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and determination in their individual sports.
