At the event, both the Bobcats and the Lady Cats qualified several team standouts for this week's State Championship Track Meet to be held in Casper on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.     This past week, Hot Springs County High School played host to teams from seventeen Wyoming schools, in the final week of the regular track season. While the weather had been somewhat unsettled leading up to the event, conditions improved sufficiently to allow the teams to compete last Friday.     The Hot Springs County High School golf team traveled to Hulett on Monday, April 29 and then to Cody, on Friday, May 3 to compete in the final tournaments of their regular spring season. Last week’s outings served as great opportunities for the Bobcats and Lady Cats to get prepared for the spring championship tournament being held in Torrington this week.     The Hot Springs County High School track team traveled to Buffalo last Friday to compete in the Buffalo Not-a-Twilight Track Meet. The home team, Buffalo, won the girls team event with a score of 120, while the team from Thunder Basin won the boys team event with a score of 164.5.     Four Hot Springs County High School athletes qualified to compete this year in the prestigious Wyoming Track Classic held in Casper on Friday, April 26, 2024. The event is a “best of the best” style meet, which pits top contenders from around the state of Wyoming.     The Hot Springs County High School golf team was in Powell last Friday for the Powell High School Spring Invite. Both the Bobcats, and the Lady Cats finished in the top five in team scoring - with the Lady Cats finishing in fourth place (322) and the Bobcats ending the day in fifth place (386).     The Hot Springs County High School golf team was scheduled to travel to Sheridan last week, to play on the Powder Horn Golf Course - one of the premier private golf courses in the state.     The Hot Springs County High School Bobcat track team was in Shoshoni last week to compete at the Shoshoni Invite – an event that drew twenty-two teams from around the area to compete in a full day of events, which went far into the evening before all competitions were complete.     The Hot Springs County High School Lady Cats Track Team were in Shoshoni on Friday, April 19, 2024 for the Shoshoni Invite track meet. In perhaps one of the largest track meets in the state, nineteen women’s teams competed in a very long day of track and field events.     The Hot Springs County High School Golf Team traveled to Sheridan Friday, April 12 to play in the Tongue River Spring Invitational. The event was held at the Kendrick Golf Course, which will host the State Tournament this fall. Kendrick is a par 72, 18-hole public course that is fairly unique in its layout, having few bunkers and not a lot of trees.     Hot Springs County High School Bobcat golf players opened their spring season last Friday at the Worland Invite, held at Green Hills Golf Club, an eighteen hole public course which boasts a rank of number three among public courses located in the state. The event was a first outing for most of those competing - leaving the golfers to face the effects of a long winter break from the sport.
